The 76th annual pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at Mount St. Macrina, Uniontown, Pa., was held over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3-6, 2010. The grounds of Mount St. Macrina, the motherhouse of the Sisters of St. Basil the Great, fill with thousands of pilgrims who come from across the United States and even Canada to honor the Mother of God at various prayer services and to visit with friends. In addition to the services, there are special activities for children, teens and young adults throughout the weekend. Highlights of the pilgrimage include the children’s procession on Sunday afternoon and the candlelight procession Sunday evening.
